AMG Nashville and Authentic Men’s Group (“AMG”) are operated by Thriving Made Simple, LLC.

AMG provides coaching, personal-development groups, community experiences, courses, educational resources, podcasts, and related services designed to support personal growth, authenticity, relationships, connection, responsibility, and healthy masculinity.

Please read the following information carefully so that you understand the nature and limits of AMG Services.

AMG Is Not Therapy

AMG is not psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or another form of licensed healthcare treatment.

Participation in an AMG group, individual coaching, community, course, workshop, podcast, assessment, resource, or other AMG offering does not create a therapist-client relationship or other healthcare-provider relationship.

AMG Services are intended for coaching, education, community, and personal development.

Licensed Professionals Serving as Coaches

Some AMG coaches, owners, leaders, contributors, or facilitators may separately hold professional licenses in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work, medicine, or another profession.

Professional training may inform the knowledge and experience a coach brings to AMG. However, when a licensed professional is providing an AMG coaching or educational service, the individual is acting in the role identified for that AMG Service and is not providing psychotherapy merely because the individual also holds a professional license.

A therapist-client or other licensed healthcare relationship requires a separate professional relationship and agreement and is not created through participation in AMG.

AMG and Horn Counseling Are Separate Services

AMG Nashville is operated by Thriving Made Simple, LLC.

AMG is separate from psychotherapy or clinical mental-health services that may be offered by Horn Counseling or other healthcare practices.

Purchasing or participating in AMG does not make you a Horn Counseling client.

Likewise, being a current or former client of Horn Counseling or another mental-health provider does not automatically make AMG part of your psychotherapy treatment.

Any clinical relationship must be established separately through the applicable healthcare provider.

Coaching Versus Therapy

Coaching and psychotherapy can sometimes discuss similar subjects, including:

  • Relationships

  • Emotions

  • Identity

  • Communication

  • Boundaries

  • Habits

  • Values

  • Personal history

  • Vulnerability

  • Masculinity

  • Goals

  • Meaning and purpose

The fact that a topic can also arise in therapy does not make an AMG conversation psychotherapy.

AMG coaching focuses on personal development, awareness, practice, accountability, relationships, values, goals, and applying AMG frameworks to everyday life.

AMG does not diagnose or treat mental-health disorders.

Educational Content

AMG articles, courses, videos, podcasts, assessments, worksheets, exercises, social-media content, emails, downloads, and other resources are provided for general educational and personal-development purposes.

They are not individualized medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice.

Information provided by AMG should not be used to diagnose or treat a mental-health or medical condition.

No Guarantee of Results

Personal growth is individual.

AMG does not promise or guarantee that participation will produce a particular result, including improvements in relationships, mental or emotional well-being, employment, finances, confidence, health, or other areas of life.

Examples, stories, testimonials, or experiences shared by AMG participants describe individual experiences and do not guarantee that another participant will experience the same results.

Personal Responsibility

You remain responsible for your decisions and actions.

AMG encourages participants to thoughtfully evaluate information and decide what is appropriate for their individual circumstances.

Participation in coaching or personal-development activities sometimes involves discomfort, difficult conversations, emotional reactions, or greater awareness of challenging aspects of one's life.

You may choose whether and how to participate.

When Therapy or Other Professional Care May Be More Appropriate

AMG is not designed to replace professional mental-health or medical care.

A person experiencing significant psychological distress, symptoms of a mental-health condition, trauma-related difficulties, substance-use concerns, serious relationship violence or abuse, or other issues requiring clinical assessment or treatment should consider seeking an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

An AMG coach may recommend that a participant seek additional professional support when the coach reasonably believes the participant's needs fall outside the scope of coaching.

Such a recommendation is not necessarily a diagnosis.

Crisis and Emergency Situations

AMG does not provide crisis intervention or emergency services.

AMG coaches, websites, communities, email accounts, contact forms, and messaging systems are not continuously monitored and should not be used for emergency assistance.

If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, contact appropriate emergency services.

Confidentiality in Groups and Communities

AMG asks participants to respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members.

However, AMG cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality.

AMG Groups and communities are not psychotherapy groups and should not be assumed to provide the same legal confidentiality or privacy protections that may apply within certain licensed healthcare relationships.

Participants should thoughtfully decide what information they wish to disclose.

Recording, photographing, screenshotting, or distributing private AMG interactions or another participant's information without authorization may violate AMG participation rules and Terms of Use.

Coaching Confidentiality

AMG intends to treat private coaching communications with appropriate respect and discretion.

However, coaching should not automatically be assumed to have the same legal privileges, confidentiality protections, recordkeeping requirements, or privacy protections that may apply to psychotherapy, attorney-client communications, or healthcare records.

Specific expectations regarding coaching confidentiality may also be addressed in an individual coaching agreement.

Testimonials and Participant Stories

Testimonials and participant stories reflect individual experiences.

Results vary.

AMG does not compensate for or publish an identifiable participant's private group or coaching disclosures as a testimonial merely because the information was shared within AMG.

Separate permission may be obtained before using identifiable testimonials, recordings, photographs, or personal stories for promotional purposes.

Questions About the Nature of AMG

If you are uncertain whether AMG coaching, groups, community, or educational services are appropriate for your needs, we encourage you to ask questions before enrolling.
